Les Casaniers -

Lovely self catering holiday houses in the Périgord Vert, France.  

Situated in walking distance of the  village of Saint Estephe, which has its own bakery, Post Office and bar, near the Grand Etang de St Estephe with its lovely beach, boardwalk, picnic area and snack bars, and the Grand Moulin restaurant, this is an ideal location for your family holiday, its in the beautiful N Dordogne and has its own beach just down the road.

 

Both Gîtes have private pools.

 

La Grange (sleeps 6-10)  La Petite Maison (sleeps 2-6) 


are two separate and private holiday homes, each with their own private pool, both are fully furnished in a traditional farmhouse style.  Located in beautiful  countryside it is peaceful and quiet but not isolated, you are only minutes from towns, Piegut 4km and Nontron, 8km

Excellent birdwatching and walking/rambling.  

Laze around your own private pool or walk to the beach, visit local markets, châteaux, grottes, Roman buildings.

La Grange - a lovely, spacious converted farmhouse with all modern amenities.  

 

Large open plan tiled entrance hall with separate toilet, fully fitted kitchen/dining area, very spacious lounge with a wood burning stove and French doors opening onto the patio.  

 

Stairs from the entrance hallway lead up to a galleried landing with three large double bedrooms and two twin rooms, a shower room, a bathroom with toilet and  French doors to the furnished veranda overlooking lake and woodland.  

 

The lounge doors open to the furnished patio area with gazebo table and chairs for alfresco dining, which continues round to the  BBQ and further covered outdoor dining area and private pool (10x5mts) with seating and sun loungers.    

 

Private driveway and parking.

 

Sleeps 6-10.

 

We can provide Cot, high chair, changing mat and stairgate available.

La Petite Maison - a charming, deceptively spacious stone cottage

 

Fully tiled ground floor with a compact fitted kitchen.  

 

Two steps down to the large comfortable lounge/ dining room with wood burning stove and stairs leading to the master double bedroom with en-suite shower.  

 

Steps from the dining area lead to a large family room, with two single beds and a double high sleeper bed, then up to a double bedroom and bathroom with incl. shower & toilet.  

 

French doors from the kitchen open onto the furnished courtyard, private driveway & parking, BBQ, garden and a path leads to private pool (7x4mts) , covered shaded area and sun-loungers.

 

Sleeps 2-6.(8)

 

We can provide cot , high chair, changing mat, and stairgate.

 

Each gite is equiped with:

 

  • dishwasher

  • washing machine

  • fridge, freezer

  • filter coffee maker

  • microwave

  • freebox satellite  (UK TV)  TV, DVD player

  • books and DVD's are available from a central library as are toys

  • lawn games - boules, badminton, volleyball, football area, bicycles available,

  • cot, high chair, pushchair

 

Bed linen, bath and hand towels provided. 

Pets are welcome, well behaved variety preferred!  Fully fenced garden & paddock.

We supply a "welcome pack" of essentials

 

Location - Lapouge hamlet is 1 km from the village of St Estèphe where there is a bar and bakery, post office and a recreational lake with beach & moored diving platform, boardwalks, children's activity areas, picnic areas, restaurant,  summer cafés & bar;  in high season there is a lifeguard & free canoes/kayaks.  Tennis & boules courts.  There are excellent restaurants in the area
